Biographical Statement

Since January 2016, Simon Lemaire is a post-doctoral researcher at the EPFL within the chair, held by Prof. A. Abdulle, of Computational Mathematics and Numerical Analysis (ANMC). He received his PhD in applied mathematics, prepared under the direction of Prof. R. Eymard and the co-supervision of Prof. D. A. Di Pietro, in December 2013 from Université Paris-Est (Marne-la-Vallée, France).

Previous Employment

Post-doctoral researcher at the École des Ponts ParisTech (Marne-la-Vallée, France) from June 2014 to December 2015 (collaborators: Prof. C. Le Bris, F. Legoll, A. Ern)

Research Interests

Simon's research focuses on numerical analysis and scientific computing, in relation with PDEs:

  • advanced numerical methods for PDEs
  • computational homogenization
  • fluid, solid and poro-mechanics
  • scientific programming
